Pella Corporation

Pete and Lucille Kuyper founded the Pella Corporation in 1925 under the name "The Rolscreen Company" when the Pella, Iowa company invented "a window screen that rolled up and down like a shade."  Although the company changed their name in 1992 to Pella Corporation to better reflect the company's offerings, today their Rolscreen has been updated in design and remains in high demand.

Today Pella offers a full range of products to residential and commercial consumers and continues to promote their promise innovation and continuous improvement. Pella's track record of innovation has been present since the very beginning and while they don't develop their technology for technology's sake Pella does develop their technology to make their consumer’s lives easier; Pella has been awarded more than 100 product and designs patents through the dedication to innovation.

Pella Corporation uses the Kaizen Methodology, a Japanese Philosophy, to help accomplish change and innovation at a quick pace. What starts with a one-week meeting between officials trickles down to all levels of employment until finally the most recent product changes are brought to consumers at a rapid and professional speed.
