European Tilt/Turn Windows

Tilt/turn windows have been very popular in Germany and other countries for many years, but they have not been widely used in this country. Wood tilt/turn products have been available in the U.S., but have typically been used only in high end homes due to the cost. Some vinyl manufacturers are beginning to produce tilt/turn windows which will be less expensive and require far less maintenance. Architectural styles are changing which will make in-swing window units more acceptable. Tilt/turn windows have excellent structural and air/water ratings, and they offer a high level of security. These types of window offer more design freedom and window can be made larger due to the strength of the tilt/turn hardware.
