Meet Accoya Wood

Accsys Technologies is introducing Accoya wood to the world. Accoya wood is the newest "durable, dimensionally stable, sustainable and beautiful" wood and is quickly becoming the "world's leading high technology wood."

Previously, tropical hardwoods and non-durable hardwoods required applications of toxic chemicals to combat durability problems. However, this led to problems with correct disposal due to the chemicals used, as well as no increase in the wood's durability. Today, Accoya comes to serve as the solution for these problems.

Accoya's wood comes from a quick-growing, sustainable timber resource and is manufactured using non-toxic chemicals that change the wood's core and greatly reduce its ability to absorb water. This process makes Accoya wood incredibly dimensionally stable, as well as "shrink-swell" resistant.
