Replacement of Historic Windows
Some preservationists argue that old buildings simply should not have new windows. They believe in repairing the existing rather than replacing with new. I can see why they would not want to alter the look of a historical home, but for many older buildings manufacturers can replicate the look of old windows very accurately. Appearance is very important when you are dealing with a historical home, but now you can keep the look without sacrificing comfort and efficiency.
